Debriefing of the emergency intervention
The question of how the animal should be treated after an emergency intervention depends on several factors, including the nature of the injury or illness of the affected animal and the resources available. Here are some general steps that may follow an emergency response:
- Diagnosis by the vet
- Medical aftercare (based on a comprehensive medical history)
- Treatment plan (which takes into account the respective circumstances and needs)
- Entering a cost framework
- Decision on possible further partial support
