The Franziska Schären Foundation operates on a small, personal scale and can act quickly and directly in emergencies. If financial security is required for initial care, the foundation is able to make immediate decisions and provide assistance.

Debriefing of the emergency intervention
The question of how the animal should be treated after an emergency intervention depends on several factors, including the nature of the injury or illness of the affected animal and the resources available. Here are some general steps that may follow an emergency response:
- Diagnosis by the vet
- Medical aftercare (based on a comprehensive medical history)
- Treatment plan (which takes into account the respective circumstances and needs)
- Entering a cost framework
- Decision on possible further partial support
Mandatory information:
- Owner of the animal
- Name, date of birth, chip number of the animal
- Treatment date/period
- Detailed treatment costs
- Invoice amount
Payments are made exclusively to the treating veterinary practice or responsible body. Direct payments to private individuals are excluded.
